1. What is therapy?
Therapy is a relation between the patient and the therapist, where you treat different symptoms with psychological methods.

2. What's the difference between psychotherapy and psycho analysis?
There are several different forms of psychotherapy. For example there is psycho analysis, cognitive therapy and family therapy.
A psychoanalyst believes that our emotions and actions are controlled by our subconscious. Suppressed experiences from our childhood stays inside us and can cause problems later in life. With the help of psychoanalysis the suppressed feelings are brought up to the surface so that they can be treated.

3. Does therapy help?
Studies show that 80-90 percent of all of those that have been to therapy feels better after concluded treatment.

4. Can therapy be bad?
Yes, if it's practiced in by an uneducated or incompetent therapist. Sometimes the patient feels worse in the early stages of the therapy, when subconscious memories and emotions are brought to the surface.

5. What can I expect from the therapy?
Small changes that are very important for the everyday life. An increased awareness regarding yourself and an increased ability to cope with problems that can occur in life.

It ca be from a couple of sessions to more than a year.

When your everyday life doesn't function properly it might be a good idea to go to therapy.
